Accessibility Statement
Pre-recorded media
All of the pre-recorded speaker videos will have transcripts and closed captioning. The posters are in different media formats but are compliant with SSiC’s poster accessibility guidelines (e.g., closed captioning, readable fonts, alt text, etc.).
Live event
English-language CART will be provided for the following live sessions: the three speaker panels; Room A of Poster Session 1; and Room A of Poster Session 2. Zoom auto-captioning will be available for the other poster rooms. You can view which sessions/rooms have CART on the Programme Overview.
During the live sessions, all audio questions will be transcribed into the text chat; all text questions will be read aloud. Attendees will also be able to submit questions in advance using contact forms on each session page. Moderators will be active throughout the day to assist with needs and to control screen-sharing and other security issues.
We require all attendees, invited speakers, and poster presenters to comply with our code of conduct. If you would like more information about accessibility, including how to use Zoom’s accessibility features, or safety please reach out to us.
Disclosure
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide CART in all of the poster sessions due to their parallel nature, which compounds costs for our restricted budget this year. However, we are committed to offering full CART measures as well as live translation in future.
